Thai Nguyen completes sampling of remains of unidentified martyrs

Thai Nguyen - To date, the locality has organized excavations and sample collection for 941 martyrs' graves whose identities have not been identified.

On September 10, the Steering Committee for searching, repatriating and identifying martyrs' remains of Thai Nguyen province coordinated with Linh Son ward to organize excavations and take biological samples for DNA testing and identification at Huong Thuong Martyrs' Cemetery.

In a solemn and respectful atmosphere, delegates offered flowers, incense, observed a minute of silence to commemorate and expressed their deep gratitude to the heroic martyrs who bravely sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.

Huong Thuong Martyrs' Cemetery is currently burying 51 martyrs' graves, of which 11 graves have not been identified.

The excavation and sampling of biological products at Huong Thuong Martyrs' Cemetery marks the completion of sampling at martyrs' cemeteries in Thai Nguyen province.

In which, the province has organized excavations and sample collection for 941 martyrs' graves whose identities have not been identified. All biological samples have been digitized and handed over to serve DNA testing in the coming time.

This is a practical activity, contributing to bringing heroic martyrs back to their names and homeland.
