Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee - Mr. Do Minh Tuan - signed Decision No. 2940 approving the additional budget for giving gifts to the people on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2, with a total amount of more than 430.5 billion VND.
Of which, the additional central budget has a target of more than 427.1 billion VND; the provincial budget is more than 3.3 billion VND. The gift level is implemented according to Official Dispatch No. 149/CD-TTg dated August 28, 2025 of the Prime Minister, specifically VND 100,000/person, in cash.
The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Finance, the Provincial Police, the State Treasury of Region XI, the State Bank of Region 7 and the People's Committees of communes and wards to coordinate in organizing timely, appropriate, public and transparent payments to the subjects. The gift giving must be completed by September 1, 2025 at the latest.
In case of lack of funding, the locality should proactively balance the budget to ensure full payment, then synthesize and report to the Department of Finance; if there is excess resources, the provincial budget must be promptly returned. The Provincial People's Committee requires units to seriously implement, ensure safety, accuracy, avoid loss and negativity.
