According to the Thanh Hoa Provincial Civil Defense Command, in the coming days, the situation of heavy rain will still be complicated. With the "4 on-the-spot" motto, localities and functional forces continue to review areas at risk of unsafety, mobilize people not to be subjective, and proactively relocate to safe places when necessary.

As of 4 pm on August 22, in Thach Lap commune, there are 24 households with 105 people cut off. On National Highway 47, provincial roads 519 and 506E, many cracks and landslides have appeared.
Heavy rain also caused more than 179 hectares of crops to be flooded and broken; 12.8 hectares of aquaculture area in Kim Tan commune were flooded.

Irrigation works exploitation companies and localities organize the operation of pumping stations and drainage culverts to drain water. Local authorities and electricity units are repairing fallen medium-voltage power poles.
According to the People's Committee of Trung Ha commune, from the morning of August 22, heavy rain caused landslides of the positive taluy on National Highway 217, at Km130. By the night of the same day, this location continued to landslide, affecting traffic.
Right that night, Trung Ha commune set up checkpoints, planted dangerous warning signs, diverted traffic and guided people and vehicles to travel in other directions.
On the morning of August 23, the locality mobilized forces and vehicles on the spot to clear mud and rocks overflowing into the road, ensuring smooth traffic.
Also on the morning of August 23, heavy rain caused landslides of the positive taluy, affecting 6 households in Hien Kiet commune.
In Chieng village, landslides cracked the wall of Mr. Ha Van Thien's house. The family had to evacuate people and property to a safe place. Landslides also affected 5 other households in Ho and Poong villages.
Faced with the risk of continued landslides, Hien Kiet Commune People's Committee has evacuated households from dangerous areas to safe places.
