Thanh Hoa bans the sea from tomorrow noon
On the afternoon of September 5, information from the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province said that due to the complicated developments of storm No. 3 (Yagi), the locality requested to issue a telegram prohibiting sea travel from 12:00 on September 6 to ensure the safety of people and vehicles.
At the same time, the authorities are required to coordinate with coastal localities to monitor, count, call ships and boats to safe shelters, check and guide ships and boats to anchor at the port; strictly manage vehicles going out to sea until the storm dissipates.
It is known that, up to now, Thanh Hoa province has 6,116 vessels, 19,901 seafarers, operating in the sea areas of Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, Nam Dinh, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, South East Sea and Thanh Hoa province. The implementation of the sea ban, not allowing boats to leave the port is to ensure the safety of fishermen's lives and property.
Ninh Binh deploys urgent measures
In order to promptly respond to storm No. 3, on September 5, Mr. Tran Song Tung - Vice Chairman of Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee and the working delegation directly inspected the response to storm No. 3 in Kim Son district.
In this locality, Mr. Tran Song Tung highly appreciated the active and proactive preparation work of Kim Son district. Along with that, Mr. Tung requested the locality to coordinate with functional sectors more urgently, ensure absolute safety for people's lives, organize 24/7 on-duty, closely monitor the developments of storm No. 3 and the storm situation, strictly implement the reporting regime, and avoid sudden, unexpected, and passive situations while responding to the storm.
In addition, on the afternoon of September 5, the Ninh Binh Provincial Department of Health also held a conference to deploy medical work to prevent and combat storm No. 3.
At the conference, Ms. Pham Thi Phuong Hanh - Director of Ninh Binh Provincial Department of Health requested affiliated units to prepare forces, medical equipment, medicine and chemicals to support other units when there is a mobilization order.
