The Standing Committee of the National Assembly has just issued Resolution No. 1196/NQ-UBTVQH15 on the arrangement of district and commune-level administrative units of Khanh Hoa province for the 2023-2025 period.
According to the resolution, the arrangement of commune-level administrative units in Nha Trang city is as follows:
Merge the entire natural area of 0.46 km2 and population of 9,993 people of Phuong Son ward into Phuong Sai ward. After merging, Phuong Sai ward has a natural area of 0.83 km2 and a population of 23,035 people.
Merge the entire natural area of 0.60 km2, population of 9,299 people of Xuong Huan ward and the entire natural area of 0.37 km2, population of 12,616 people of Van Thang ward into Van Thanh ward. After merging, Van Thanh ward has a natural area of 1.35 km2 and a population of 34,859 people.
Tan Tien ward was established on the basis of merging the entire natural area of 0.28 km2 and the population of 13,108 people of Phuoc Tien ward, the entire natural area of 0.46 km2 and the population of 16,243 people of Phuoc Tan ward and the entire natural area of 0.60 km2 and the population of 18,466 people of Tan Lap ward. After establishment, Tan Tien ward had a natural area of 1.34 km2 and a population of 47,817 people.
After the arrangement, Nha Trang city has 22 commune-level administrative units, including 14 wards and 8 communes.
The Resolution clearly states that the arrangement of commune-level administrative units in Ninh Hoa town is as follows:
Merge the entire natural area of 44.42 km2 and the population of 2,154 people of Ninh Van commune into Ninh Phuoc commune. After merging, Ninh Phuoc commune has a natural area of 83.86 km2 and a population of 10,104 people.
After the arrangement, Ninh Hoa town has 26 commune-level administrative units, including 7 wards and 19 communes.
Also according to the resolution, the commune-level administrative units of Dien Khanh district are arranged as follows:
Xuan Dong commune was established on the basis of merging the entire natural area of 17.41 km2 and the population of 4,166 people of Dien Dong commune and the entire natural area of 26.22 km2 and the population of 6,300 people of Dien Xuan commune. After establishment, Xuan Dong commune had a natural area of 43.63 km2 and a population of 10,466 people.
After the arrangement, Dien Khanh district has 17 commune-level administrative units, including 16 communes and 1 town.
After rearranging commune-level administrative units, Khanh Hoa province has 9 district-level administrative units, including 6 districts, 1 town and 2 cities; 132 commune-level administrative units, including 96 communes, 30 wards and 6 towns.
This Resolution comes into force from November 1, 2024.
