The Central Power Corporation (EVNCPC) said that by 7:00 a.m. on October 31, it had restored power supply to nearly 170,000 customers in the Central provinces and cities. Currently, there are still about 310,000 customers without power in 4 localities including Da Nang, Hue, Quang Ngai and Quang Tri.
On the 110kV power grid, there are still two power lines that have problems and are temporarily isolated to ensure safety. The 110kV Phuoc Son and Nam Tra My transformer stations have not been able to resume operation due to heavy rain and terrain isolation. The electricity industry is urgently restoring by supplying electricity to the 22kV line.
To date, EVNCPC has recorded 577 incidents on the medium voltage grid, of which 290 cases have been handled. The total number of distributed transformer stations that have stopped operating is 2,720 stations, accounting for 4.73% of the entire system.
The southwest area of Da Nang City was the area that suffered the most damage with more than 225,000 customers and 2,031 transformer stations without power. Next are Hue City with 74,000 customers, Quang Tri with more than 7,300 customers and Quang Ngai with more than 2,600 customers who have not yet had electricity back. The main reason is that the electricity industry proactively cuts off electricity in deeply flooded areas to ensure the safety of people and equipment.

Since the afternoon of October 29, EVNCPC has held an urgent meeting to respond to and fix power outages after floods. General Director Ngo Tan Cu requested units to be on duty 24/24 hours, mobilizing maximum human resources and materials, restoring electricity safely and quickly for people, especially prioritizing hospitals, administrative agencies and isolated residential areas.
EVNCPC also mobilized electricity testing teams to increase human resources to support localities that suffered heavy damage. The People's Committee of Da Nang City requires the electricity industry to urgently complete the restoration of power supply to the entire area before 5:00 p.m. on November 3, 2025, prioritizing key production and residential areas.
