On December 28, Lao Dong Newspaper reporters were present at the construction site for upgrading and repairing Ke Go lake in Cam Due commune, recording that contractors are mobilizing maximum manpower and machinery to focus on constructing new spillway construction items.
Mr. Nguyen Minh Hieu - official of Irrigation Investment and Construction Management Board 4 - said that at this time, contractors are focusing on speeding up progress, constructing 3 shifts and 4 crews day and night.

It's a bit of a bit of a bit of a bit of a bit of a bit.
Currently, more than 100 workers are focusing on constructing the iron part to pour concrete from the flood discharge spillway every day.
Up to this point, the excavation of the spillway foundation has reached more than 90%; more than 2,000 m3 of spillway concrete has been poured; the bridge across the spillway has basically been completed, only railings are installed and soil is poured at 2 bridge abutments.
The weather is favorable, so contractors are highly focused on construction. Currently, the construction site is very bustling. It is believed that from now on, when the weather is favorable, the project progress will be ensured," Mr. Hieu shared.
The project to upgrade and repair Ke Go lake with a total investment of more than 350 billion VND is constructed by the joint venture of Joint Stock Company 47 - Lilama 10 Joint Stock Company - Construction Joint Stock Company 465.
The main items of the project include: repairing and upgrading the main dam; building a new flood discharge spillway; building a new operating house; upgrading the mechanical system at Doc Mieu spillway and surrounding dyke.
The project to upgrade and repair Ke Go Lake was started on December 27, 2024, and is expected to be completed in June 2026.

According to Mr. Nguyen Minh Hieu, basically, construction is currently smooth on the construction site. Currently, only 2 power poles are stuck. A few days ago, the investor also worked with the People's Committee of Cam Due commune to request early release.
Cam Due commune authorities said that they will focus on consolidating site clearance officers to soon carry out the task of relocating the 2 remaining power poles.
Regarding the recent incident of a contractor carrying soil from the construction site to dump at the landfill to spread dust and affect the environment, Mr. Nguyen Minh Hieu said that for nearly a week now, he has no longer been carrying soil to dump at the landfill but is focusing on completing the temporary road, in order to carry soil to build at the foot of the main dam.
Currently, the volume of soil to be dumped into the waste disposal site is not much, so the contractor is focusing on transporting and filling at the foot of the main dam.
