This is the second consecutive year that Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nam - a technical officer of Hiep Phu Company Limited - has not returned to his hometown for the National Day holiday on September 2 with his family but still stays at the Tuyen Quang - Ha Giang Expressway construction site with hundreds of workers working 3 shifts, racing with progress.
"To meet the project schedule, we divide shifts, teams, and organize work throughout this year's National Day holiday because the technical opening date is approaching. We also encourage cadres and workers and have a better regime than usual to encourage our brothers and workers" - Mr. Nam shared.
The XL-03 construction package has the fastest construction progress in the entire route. According to Mr. Dao Ngoc Huan - Commander, Vinaconex Corporation, the unit has mobilized nearly 200 locomotives of all kinds, nearly 400 officers, engineers, and workers to focus on and divide 4 construction teams at the construction site.
Mr. Huan said: "Since the project started, we have been almost off holidays but have focused on overtime to speed up the progress. This year, with the spirit of the 80th anniversary of National Day, we encourage our brothers to work at a higher pace, to contribute to the celebration of the country's great festival".
The Tuyen Quang - Ha Giang Expressway Project (phase 1) is implementing the construction of 6/6 packages for the construction of roads and bridges on the route. To date, more than 114 construction teams have been deployed, with a total of nearly100 pieces of machinery and equipment on the route. The total construction value reached 43.14% of the contract value. Tuyen Quang province has handed over the site to the construction unit for 69.68/69.7km of the entire route, reaching 99.98%.
For the section of the route in the old Tuyen Quang province, the project investor has developed a daily and weekly construction plan and plan with each specific workload to ensure progress and meet technical requirements.
The competitive atmosphere of "overcoming the sun and overcoming the rain", construction through holidays and days is spread to each worker and each job position. Contractors have developed a specific construction plan for each week and month, the construction materials for the foundation and roadbed have been proactively gathered by the unit, ensuring completion according to the investor's requested schedule.
Speaking with reporters, Mr. Nguyen Thien Tuyen - Director of the Management Board of Investment and Construction of Traffic Works of Tuyen Quang province - said that the time frames with specific requirements for the project are clearly explained to contractors such as completing the roadbed, underpass, culverts and works on the route before September 30, 2025. Complete the foundation and road surface of asphalt concrete (1 layer of asphalt concrete) before November 30, 2025 and complete the traffic safety system, lighting and auxiliary items before December 15, 2025.
"In the coming time, Tuyen Quang province will continue to resolutely direct contractors to focus all resources to complete the 64.5km construction before December 19, 2025. At the same time, for the section Km2+715 - Km10+815 (8.1km newly built), complete the technical design documents, submit for appraisal and approval before August 30, 2025, complete related procedures to be able to start construction before October 15, 2025" - Mr. Tuyen informed.
The Tuyen Quang - Ha Giang Expressway Project Phase 1 is over 104km long, with a total investment of VND13,800 billion. Of which, the section through the (old) Tuyen Quang province, over 77km long, is worth VND8,800 billion.
This route includes a 12.5km long section (8.1km newly opened, 4.4km increased from 2 lanes to 4 lanes) from the Tuyen Quang - Phu Tho expressway intersection to the National Highway 37 intersection. The remaining section from Km 12+500 to Km 77+00, 64.5km long, is under construction on a scale of 2 lanes.
The section through the old Ha Giang province has a total length of over 27km, with a total investment of over VND5,000 billion.
