On the morning of September 30, Hanoi had prolonged heavy rain, causing many roads to be flooded, making it difficult for vehicles to move. In the face of the above situation, social networks spread information "Hanoi Traffic Police Banning the road from Pham Van Dong to My Dinh bus station" causing people to worry.
Talking with reporters, Lieutenant Colonel Pham Van Chien - Captain of Road Traffic Police Team No. 6 (CSGT) - Traffic Police Department, Hanoi City Police affirmed that the authorities did not announce a road closure.
Accordingly, some roads in the area managed by Road Traffic Police Team No. 6 have heavily flooded areas, such as area No. 10 Pham Hung Street and Le Quang Dao Street (opposite stand B of My Dinh National Stadium). These two locations were deeply flooded, people and vehicles moved slowly, making it very difficult to travel.
In the face of the above situation, Road Traffic Police Team No. 6 has proactively monitored and grasped the situation, closely following the area and route to arrange and assign officers and soldiers to direct traffic from a distance, instructing vehicles not to move into flooded roads, especially motorbikes and low-chassis cars with high the possibility of engine failure.
At flooded areas, the unit has also placed warning signs for people to identify and choose a suitable route to avoid possible risks.
"For deeply flooded areas, we have increased officers and soldiers to regulate, guide, and divide lanes to ensure safety for people. There are absolutely no road closures, so people can move around with peace of mind. In cases where people have incidents due to flooding, we have also prepared people and vehicles for rescue," Lieutenant Colonel Pham Van Chien informed.

Currently, there is still heavy rain in Hanoi, many roads are still deeply flooded, people need to monitor and update information on the media to have a suitable travel plan.
In addition, at flooded areas, people absolutely follow the instructions of the authorities to make travel smooth and safe.
