Lao Cai - Vehicles can now move on National Highway 4 after overcoming the landslide.

On the afternoon of June 27, information from the Lao Cai Department of Construction said that after many hours of repair, the landslide at Km197+100 (in Tung Chung Pho commune), National Highway 4 through Muong Khuong district, has been cleared in step 1. Vehicles such as trucks and passenger cars are allowed to travel here.

Previously, due to heavy rain lasting from the night of June 26 to the morning of June 27, at 7:00 a.m., on National Highway 4 (from the center of Muong Khuong town to Tung Chung Pho, Din Chin, Pha Long communes), a large landslide appeared at Km197+100 (in the area of Tung Chung Pho commune), causing complete traffic disruption.

Immediately after the landslide appeared, the Road Maintenance Management Board (Lao Cai Provincial Department of Construction) deployed machinery and human resources to fix the landslide.

According to local authorities, the landslide area still has soil and rocks rolling down from the mountainside. Therefore, people need to pay attention when driving through here to ensure safety.
