Dak Lak - Just a few days after the announcement, the record-setting unit has revoked the content of Lak Lake - the natural freshwater lake in the Central Highlands with the largest area in Vietnam.

On November 26, the Vietnam Records Institute (under the Vietnam Record Association) issued an Official Dispatch (No. 118/VRI-2024) regarding the revocation of the Vietnam Record certificate for Lak Lake.

The content of the document clearly stated that on November 15, the Vietnam Records Institute sent a document (No. 115/VRI-2024) announcing the establishment of 3 Vietnamese Records of Dak Lak province.

Among them, there is a Record granted to the People's Committee of Lak district (Dak Lak) with the content: Lak Lake - the largest natural freshwater lake in the Central Highlands in Vietnam (over 500 hectares wide, at an altitude of nearly 417m above sea level).

After the record information was announced, the Institute received comments related to the Lak Lake Record being understood as the lake with the largest area in Vietnam without the element of a natural freshwater lake in the Central Highlands.

To avoid misunderstandings and clarify the record elements of Lak Lake, the Vietnam Record Institute agreed to revoke the certificate.

The Vietnam Record Institute in coordination with local authorities continues to review and propose appropriate and clear criteria adjustments for Lak Lake. Thereby, avoiding misunderstandings and misinterpretations of record criteria.

The Vietnam Records Institute is responsible for coordinating with the Vietnam Records Organizing Council to adjust the record content appropriately.
