On the afternoon of July 6, a fishing boat brought the surviving crew members in the offshore fishing boat sinking into Phu Hai port, Phu Thuy ward, Lam Dong province. In addition, the body of crew member H.N. T (born 1971) was also brought ashore.

As soon as the ship docked, the military medical force of Thanh Hai Border Guard Station received, examined and checked the health status of 15 crew members. Currently, the health of the crew members is stable. The captain is still at the scene to look after the shipwreck.
At about 5 pm on the same day, after functional agencies completed the procedures, the victim's body was handed over to the family to take home for funeral arrangements.

As Lao Dong newspaper reported, at about 7 am on the same day, fishing vessel BTh 98379 TS, with a capacity of 420CV, owned and captained by Mr. Phan Van Chi (born 1972, residing in Phu Thuy ward) departed from Phu Hai fishing port to fish.
When the ship was operating about 10 nautical miles from Phu Hai coast, it collided with the cargo ship Viet Thuan 11-07. The collision caused the fishing boat to sink and 17 crew members on board were rescued by a vehicle operating nearby. However, Mr. H.N. T died.

After the incident, the cargo ship Viet Thuan 11-07 was also requested to move to the anchorage area outside Phan Thiet port to coordinate with functional agencies.
Functional forces are taking statements from the crew members, working with the cargo ship to clarify the cause of the maritime accident.

In the afternoon of the same day, Mr. Nguyen Huu Thong - Secretary of the Party Committee of Phu Thuy ward - said that the locality is establishing a delegation to visit and share with the crew member's family.
