On May 2, Lai Chau Provincial Police said that Pa Do Commune Police (Muong Te District) in coordination with other forces and a large number of people had found a 7-year-old girl lost in a mountainous area.
Previously, on the afternoon of April 30, the Pa Do Commune Police (Muong Te District) received a report from the family of Mr. Phung Phi Du (born in 1971) residing in U Ma Village, Pa Commune, about the disappearance of his daughter Phung Xa Xo (born in 2018).
According to the family, Mr. Du and his wife went to work as a housewives, leaving So alone at home. At around 1pm, when he returned home, he did not see the child, even though the family had searched all around the village.
After receiving the report, Pa Do Commune Police proactively coordinated with Pa Do Border Guard Station, the Party Committee and the Pa Do Commune government to deploy forces and organize the search for the girl.
On the morning of May 2, the authorities mobilized more security teams to ensure security and order at the grassroots level and a large number of people in U Ma village expanded the search area in Nhu Ma village, Pa commune.
At around 9:50 a.m., the search force discovered Phung Xa Xo in a mountainous area in the direction of Ha Xi village, about 3km from Nhu Ma village.
The girl was found lying face down on the ground in a dense bush, near the people's plantation area. At the time of her discovery, the child's health was quite weak and tired. After being cared for, Xo's health gradually stabilized.
