On the afternoon of September 21, information from Bao Thang Commune Police, Lao Cai province, functional forces found the body of Mr. Nguyen Xuan Dinh (born 1993, residing in Gia Ha village, Phuc Khanh commune) after nearly 2 days of missing, suspected of drowning on the Red River.
Previously, at about 4 pm on September 19, Bao Thang Commune Police received a report from people about Mr. Dinh's disappearance in the Red River area, passing through Son Hai village, Bao Thang commune.
Immediately after receiving the information, Bao Thang Commune Police mobilized forces, coordinated to organize searches in the area where the incident occurred and along the downstream of the Red River.
On the morning of September 21, during the search, Bao Thang Commune Police force directly discovered the victim's body at a location about 1km from the location identified as the incident.
Functional forces then brought the victim's body ashore, protected the scene, coordinated to carry out procedures according to regulations and handed it over to the family for funeral arrangements.
Bao Thang Commune Police recommends that people raise their vigilance when operating in rivers, streams, ponds, and lakes; not be subjective to unsafe risks, especially in conditions of fast flowing water or complex terrain.
