On the morning of February 24, the traffic light cluster at the intersection of Le Ninh Street and Ha Hoang Street in Thach Trung Ward (Ha Tinh City) in the direction of traveling from Ha Tinh City to Thach Ha Town was broken, and unusual operations caused difficulties and confusion for traffic participants.
This cluster of lights is in a state of "power outage" without any signal and suddenly turns red, yellow or blue. The timestamp (second) is sometimes there, sometimes not, sometimes only 3 - 4 seconds and then it is gone.
The incident left many drivers confused, not knowing whether to go or stop. Many people have to "go" or wait for vehicles going in the opposite direction to move and the Ha Hoang road stops before daring to travel.
A leader of the People's Committee of Ha Tinh City said that he had grasped the incident and would conduct an inspection and handle the incident at the traffic light cluster on Le Ninh Street extending to Ha Hoang Street to ensure traffic safety.
The cause of the incident, this leader said, may stem from the rain causing the power system in the traffic light cluster on Le Ninh Street to operate problematically.
It is known that this traffic light cluster was installed by the authorities about 2 months ago.
Previously, at around 3:00 p.m. on February 22, a traffic light on National Highway 1 through Ky Nam Ward (Ky Anh Town, Ha Tinh Province) also had an unusual error.
That is, the light signal only appears yellow for about 2-3 seconds then turns green for only 2 seconds, then continues to turn blue without a red light.

It is worth mentioning that according to the driver's reflection, there are cameras at the location of this faulty traffic light, so the drivers do not dare to move but stop in both directions, causing long traffic jams.
On the morning of February 24, Mr. Bui Van Chuong - Chairman of the People's Committee of Ky Nam Ward confirmed that there was an incident of a traffic light signal failure on National Highway 1 through Ky Nam Ward on the afternoon of April 22, causing a long traffic jam.
After that, Ky Nam Ward Police were present to coordinate with the Traffic Police Team under the Traffic Police Department - Ha Tinh Provincial Police to instruct drivers to continue driving vehicles. This light signal error was later fixed.
