TKV and the 19th Corps coordinate to implement the Vietnam Coal Industry Development Plan

On December 1, the Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group (TKV) and Army Corps 19 (Northeast Corporation) held a preliminary meeting to assess the implementation of the Coordination Regulation.

The thesis content on the implementation of the Vietnam Coal Industry Development Plan to 2020, including considerations for the prospects to 2030 and in production and business activities.

According to the assessment, regarding mine planning and boundaries: the two sides have closely coordinated in determining resource boundaries and exploitation areas, ensuring proper implementation of the decisions of the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Industry and Trade on coal development planning. The leaders of these two agencies affirmed that regular information and good coordination help make reasonable and efficient use of resources and infrastructure, avoiding overlap in investment and exploitation. The production and business activities of each side have contributed significantly to ensuring a stable supply of coal for the economy, especially coal for electricity production, a top political task to ensure national energy security.
