Accordingly, implementing the Project "Promoting the role of the People's Army in participating in disseminating and educating the law, mobilizing people to comply with the law at the grassroots level, period 2021-2027", the People's Army Newspaper (QDND) coordinated with the Legal Department (Ministry of National Defense) to organize the summary and award ceremony of the contest "Learning about legal knowledge on QDND Newspaper" in 2024 and launched the contest in 2025.
This activity aims to promote the work of propagating, disseminating and educating the law; awarding, commending and rewarding collectives and individuals with high achievements participating in the 2024 contest.
Speaking at the summary ceremony, Senior Lieutenant General Vo Minh Luong - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of National Defense - assessed that the People's Army Newspaper and the Legal Department (Ministry of National Defense) have coordinated to organize a contest to learn about legal knowledge on the People's Army Newspaper, this is a practical, creative and effective way of doing things.
According to the Deputy Minister of National Defense, the application of information technology and digital transformation has helped the contest attract a large number of officers, soldiers, armed forces, and people nationwide to participate.
In 2024 alone, there were 7 exams, each exam had more than 20,000 participants. The contest has created a positive effect in society, thereby helping people, cadres, armed forces... improve their understanding of the law, regulate behavior, properly fulfill the responsibilities and legal obligations of the Party and State, build and protect the Fatherland.
According to information from the Organizing Committee of the contest, the contestants of the online contest "Learning legal knowledge on the People's Army Newspaper" in 2025 will be cadres, civil servants, public employees, workers, cadres, soldiers in the armed forces of the people, students and citizens of Vietnam and overseas Vietnamese.
The contest is organized in the form of multiple-choice test on the People's Army Electronic Newspaper, the contest starts from December 12-11, 2025.
The contest is organized in 9 periods (1 month/term). Each exam, participants answer multiple-choice questions directly on computers or mobile devices connected to the internet according to the pre-designed survey software within a maximum of 30 minutes/1 exam, including 10 multiple-choice questions and 1 analytical article, feeling 1 legal issue in life no more than 500 words (the exam is not mandatory but has priority points in scoring).
At the end of the 9 exams, the Organizing Committee will select entries with good quality and entries that have been awarded a quarterly prize to determine the annual award.
