In order to resolve the large number of backlogged records after receiving the task of testing and granting driving licenses, the Traffic Police Department (PC08) of Ho Chi Minh City Police is increasing the organization of continuous testing from Monday to Sunday. In particular, the number of contestants will increase significantly on the two weekends, creating favorable conditions for people.

According to Lao Dong on May 26, at the Thanh Cong Driving Training and Testing Center (Nha Be District), PC08 organized testing for about 300 people. This is the 7th official inspection day since Ho Chi Minh City Police officially received this task from the Department of Transport (now the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction).
Many candidates expressed their joy at taking the exam after many months of waiting. Ms. Nguyen Tram Anh said that her file was stalled due to the process of transferring the testing task.
Previously, during the pilot test on May 14, Lieutenant Colonel Truong Tran Minh Tuan - Captain of the Testing and Driving License Team informed about the backlog of about 119,000 driving license registration applications, of which about 80,000 were for motorbikes and the rest were for cars.
PC08 plans to coordinate with 18 driving testing centers in Ho Chi Minh City to conduct continuous testing of both cars and motorbikes.
From May 20 to May 31, PC08 is conducting the test with a capacity of 700 trips per day (300 cars and 400 motorbikes). After 6 days of implementation, about 4,500 test files have been resolved.
From June onwards, PC08 plans to add an additional exam council to further speed up the progress of handling backlog documents. In particular, organizing multiple-choice tests continuously from Monday to Sunday, and increasing the number of contestants on two weekends, will contribute to creating maximum conditions for people as well as quickly resolving the current backlog of documents.
