Ho Chi Minh City strives to increase budget revenue in 2026 by 10% compared to 2025; accelerate the disbursement of public investment, in which site clearance is identified as a top priority task.

In particular, the City aims to completely handle the remaining backlog projects in the first quarter of 2026 (about 80% were handled in 2025), in which the focus is on completing the site clearance of Thu Thiem New Urban Area, creating conditions for the development of this urban area to be worthy of the center of the New City.

Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee emphasized that the City will focus on implementing key projects to fundamentally change the urban appearance and effectively solve the current "3 major bottlenecks" of flooding, traffic congestion and environmental pollution.

If done well, the progress of public investment will exceed the plan and make a great contribution to growth in the coming time" - Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee affirmed.

Besides economic development, Mr. Nguyen Van Duoc requested to continue to focus on education, health, culture and social security, taking the goal of improving the quality of life and happiness of the people as the center.
