The above information was announced by Mr. Tran The Thuan - Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City - at the meeting of the Steering Committee for the arrangement and reorganization of administrative units at all levels and the construction of a two-level local government model in Ho Chi Minh City, held on June 9.
According to Mr. Thuan, on May 29, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee assigned the Department of Culture and Sports to develop a project to rearrange the Ho Chi Minh City People's Voice Station (VOH) and Ho Chi Minh City Television (HTV).
Immediately after receiving the assignment, the department held 4 meetings to collect opinions, including an expanded meeting with the participation of leaders of Binh Duong Radio and Television Station and Ba Ria - Vung Tau Radio and Television Station, to refer to the experience of organization and operating models.
Currently, the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City has submitted a project to arrange VOH and HTV to the competent authority for consideration.
Regarding the project to reorganize Ho Chi Minh City press, Mr. Tang Huu Phong - Deputy Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee - said that the Department has developed and submitted plans to reorganize press organizations to competent authorities.
The Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee is finalizing the project to reorganize the Ho Chi Minh City press system in sync with the reorganization of provincial-level administrative units, to be completed before September 15.
