HCMC speeds up procedures to start construction of Phu My 2 bridge connecting Dong Nai on January 15, 2026
Mr. Bui Xuan Cuong requested the Department of Finance to urgently work with Masterise Group Joint Stock Company to review and shorten the preparation steps, ensuring that the project is eligible to start construction on January 15, 2026 to celebrate the 14th National Congress of the Party.

Previously, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee approved Masterise to study and prepare a report on the proposed investment policy for the Phu My 2 bridge project under the public-private partnership (PPP) method.
According to the investor's proposal, Phu My 2 Bridge is about 6.3 km long, including the main bridge and approach road. The starting point is expected to be at Nguyen Huu Tho Street (HCMC), the end point will connect to Lien Cang Street (Dong Nai). See more...

5-year-old child dies in a lake behind a boarding house in Ho Chi Minh City
The drowning incident occurred at around 1:00 p.m. on November 28 in the fish pond behind the boarding house in Khanh Loc quarter, Tan Khanh ward, Ho Chi Minh City. The deceased victim was identified as P.D.Q (born in 2020, from Can Tho city).
Initial information, at around 1:00 p.m., the children went to the lake area behind the boarding house in Group 5, Khanh Loc Quarter, Tan Khanh Ward.
After that, P.D.Q drowned. When he discovered the incident, his accomplice ran into the boarding house (about 20m away) to shout. See more...
