HCMC is about to build a series of elevated roads to relieve traffic jams at gateways
Ho Chi Minh City will build a series of elevated roads to form rapid traffic axes, with less intersection with the road below, reducing pressure on the road surface.
Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction Tran Quang Lam said that the city will deploy an elevated route along the Truong Chinh - Cong Hoa axis, the Northwest gateway area and Tan Son Nhat airport.

Investing VND3,690 billion to expand the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway connection road
On December 14, the Management Board of the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Regional and Agricultural Transport Project (HCMC) said that it is preparing procedures to hold a groundbreaking ceremony for the project to upgrade and expand Hoi Bai - Phuoc Tan road (DT992), scheduled to take place on December 19.
This is one of the key road transport projects of Ho Chi Minh City, expanded from 16 m to 72 m, about 8.8 km long on the existing Hoi Bai - Phuoc Tan route (through Tan Hai ward and Chau Pha commune), with a total investment of nearly VND 3,690 billion. The starting point will connect with the DT991B road project (about 1 km from National Highway 51); the remaining end will connect with the intersection of Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway. See more...
Nearly 2,000 athletes participate in Tien Phong Half Marathon
The first Tien Phong Half Marathon - 2025 closed at noon on December 14 in Ho Chi Minh City, with the participation of nearly 2,000 athletes.
This year's tournament includes three competition distances: 21.1 km, 10 km and 5 km for both men and women. The 21.1 km distance is divided into 5 age groups from 16 - 29, 30 - 39, 40 - 49, 50 - 59 and from 60 and above, creating opportunities for all runners to challenge themselves. The time limit is set at 3 hours and 30 minutes for 21.1 km, 2 hours and 30 minutes for 10 km and 1 hour and 30 minutes for 5 km respectively. See more...
VNU-HCM speaks out about admission by one method

According to VNU-HCM, in recent times, the unit has received many exchanges of opinions surrounding the information "VNU-HCM agreed to deploy a comprehensive admission method". In response to these concerns, VNU-HCM said that the orientation of building a unified admission framework at the system level is to streamline, standardize and reduce the complexity of admission work, while still ensuring full compliance with the Admission Regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, as well as the legitimate rights of candidates.
