One of the remarkable contents is the consolidation of the Department of Transport of Ho Chi Minh City and the Department of Construction of Ho Chi Minh City into the Department of Construction of Ho Chi Minh City.
At the same time, Ho Chi Minh City will not establish the Department of Planning and Architecture as previously proposed by the Organizing Committee of the City Party Committee. "Thus, now the three departments will be merged into one of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction" - Mr. Thuan emphasized.
The Standing Committee of Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee also agreed to rename the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to the Department of Agriculture and Environment.
At the same time, the Committee for Vietnamese people abroad will be merged into the Office of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, contributing to streamlining Unit, strengthening interconnection between administrative agencies.
Earlier, at the 21st meeting, Ho Chi Minh City People's Council Session X (term 2021 - 2026) passed a resolution on the establishment and reorganization of a number of specialized agencies under the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City.
