Building Ben Thanh underground space, an opportunity for Ho Chi Minh City to have the first underground parking lot
After more than 20 years of underground parking planning still on paper, the Ben Thanh underground space project is considered an opportunity for Ho Chi Minh City to have the first underground parking lot.

Since 2005, Ho Chi Minh City has planned 4 large-scale underground parking lots in the center, including: Le Van Tam Park, Tao Dan yard, Trong Dong stage and Hoa Lu stadium, with a total capacity of about 6,300 cars and 4,000 motorbikes. However, up to now, everything is still at the drawing.
Due to the lack of parking lots, the city is forced to allow fee-based parking on 20 central routes. See more...
Proposal to impose strong sanctions on enterprises that auction land and then abandon deposits
Discussing with Lao Dong Newspaper about comments on the draft Resolution of the Government on handling difficulties in land use rights auctions, Mr. Le Hoang Chau - Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Real Estate Association (HoREA) - said that the draft has some points that have not been fully covered in reality.
The draft stipulates the prohibition of auctioning for individuals who are auction winners in cases where residential land allocation violates payment obligations. However, reality shows that many economic organizations participate in auctions, win, then abandon deposits or pay late. If only individuals are banned, it will not cover all practical cases, because new businesses are the group that participates a lot and has a big impact on the market.
Mr. Le Hoang Chau said that it is necessary to amend and supplement the ban to apply to all economic organizations, not just individuals. This ban also needs to be applied to all cases of land allocation and lease, not just residential land. The violations prohibited include both abandoning the deposit and violating payment obligations. See more...

The Northwest gateway of Ho Chi Minh City is often congested because Metro No. 2 lots occupy the road
At the Truong Chinh - Cong Hoa intersection, the contractor has fenced off and fenced off part of Cong Hoa road to serve the relocation of technical infrastructure under Metro No. 2 project (Ben Thanh - Tham Luong).
The location of the lot is right on the main axis, causing the road surface to narrow significantly, forming a "bottleneck".
