HCMC considers Vingroup's Can Gio - Vung Tau sea route project
Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Bui Xuan Cuong has just assigned the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Finance to urgently preside over and coordinate with relevant departments, branches and units to consider the proposal of Vingroup Corporation - Joint Stock Company - Ho Chi Minh City Branch on studying investment in the sea-crossing route connecting Can Gio and Vung Tau under the BT (build - transfer) form.
The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee requests to complete the consultation and proposal before October 10, 2025. The directive document was also sent to the Department of Construction, the Department of Agriculture and Environment, and Vingroup Corporation for coordination in implementation.

Ho Chi Minh City still lacks nearly 1,800 teachers after the recruitment round
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training has just announced the results of the first teacher recruitment period of the 2025-2026 school year.
The Department of Education and Training (DET) of Ho Chi Minh City said that out of a total of 10,176 candidates applying for round 2, 3,908 candidates are eligible to be admitted to the positions of teachers at all levels from kindergarten, primary school, junior high school to high school, and Continuing Education according to the wishes of the previously registered candidate school.
Of which, area 1 recruited 2,262 teachers; area 2 recruited 1,136 teachers and area 3 recruited 510 teachers.
Compared to the total recruitment demand in the first phase of 5,696 teachers, the city still lacks 1,788 teachers. Reaching a rate of 68.6%. See more...

Ho Chi Minh City reclaims land from more than 5,100 households to implement the Binh Tien bridge and road project and 4 projects to upgrade and expand National Highways 1, 13, 22 and the North - South axis road.

Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Bui Xuan Cuong has just directed relevant departments, branches and localities to complete legal documents, appraise and approve compensation, support and resettlement plans for 5 projects before the end of 2025.
