Proposal to hand over the headquarters of the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Administrative Center to Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Finance has just submitted a document to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee on adjusting and updating the plan to arrange facilities for units in the area.

In particular, based on the request of the units and the need to serve medical and educational purposes, it is very necessary for the Department of Finance to propose a plan to arrange the headquarters of the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Administrative - Political Center (including 2 land plots with a total area of over 17.6 hectares) for Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy, to serve as an educational and training facility and the operating facility of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital.

HCMC accelerates canal renovation
The projects to renovate Xuyen Tam canal and Doi canal are expected to change the appearance of Ho Chi Minh City, but the progress is slow due to land clearance problems.
Started in May 2025, the XL-03 package under the Xuyen Tam canal renovation project has only reached about 6% of the volume. According to the plan, the section through An Nhon ward will be completed before April 30, 2026, while the section through Binh Loi Trung ward will be completed before September 2, 2026; the entire package is expected to be completed by November 2026.
However, there are still 29/138 households in An Nhon ward and 20 cases in Binh Hoa residential area (Binh Loi Trung ward) that have not yet handed over the land.
