HCMC donates 10,000 bags of medicine to people in flooded areas of Khanh Hoa

Khanh Hoa - Up to now, the team of doctors in Ho Chi Minh City has arrived at the flooded areas with 10,000 bags of family medicine to support people.

On November 23, news from the Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Health confirmed that the Ho Chi Minh City Health Department had mobilized 10,000 bags of family medicine to send to people in Khanh Hoa province.

These medicine bags will help people in flooded areas self-treat common diseases, prevent infection and reduce pressure on the grassroots health system.

Previously, many hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City simultaneously implemented the "Family Medicine Suitcase" program for people in the South Central provinces.

Each bag of medicine includes fever-reducing medicine, diarrhea treatment, oresol, disinfectant, ice cream - goji berries, hand sanitizer, soap, common medical treatment and a list of instructions for use.

In the face of serious flooding, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health has activated an emergency response plan, requiring hospitals to immediately review the team of doctors - nurses - technicians ready to go to the hospital to support. Mobile medical teams are prepared to move to deeply flooded areas, support medical examination, drug distribution, environmental treatment and emergency care.

The Party Committee, Government and people of Ho Chi Minh City have supported Khanh Hoa with 50 billion VND to overcome the damage after floods.

Director of Khanh Hoa Department of Health - Mr. Le Van Khoa - highly appreciated this timely support, saying that this is an important resource to help people access medical services as quickly as possible.

During a visit to Dien Dien commune on the morning of November 22, Ho Chi Minh City Party Secretary Tran Luu Quang said that the Politburo assigned Ho Chi Minh City to directly coordinate and support Khanh Hoa in overcoming the consequences of natural disasters.

Accordingly, Ho Chi Minh City will focus on the following tasks: Environmental treatment after flooding; reinforcement of schools and medical stations; supporting other urgent civil items.

Ho Chi Minh City will continue to accompany Khanh Hoa, deploying additional support packages suitable to the actual situation.
