HCMC transports 211 tons of goods to support people in Khanh Hoa

HCMC - From November 21 to now, HCMC has transported 211 tons of relief goods to Khanh Hoa, supporting people to overcome the severe consequences of floods.

On the afternoon of November 23, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City said that from November 21 to now, Ho Chi Minh City has mobilized total relief forces, urgently organized the transportation of clothes and necessities and sent specialized forces to promptly support Khanh Hoa province to overcome the severe consequences caused by floods.

Ho Chi Minh City has presented a symbolic board to support Khanh Hoa province with 50 billion VND. The city also deploys emergency relief under 6 key groups of tasks including ensuring emergency nutrition, supporting necessities and social security, medical facilities, restoring the environment - infrastructure, ensuring communication and strengthening volunteer forces, to quickly stabilize the lives of people in affected areas.

Of which, the city has operated 4 battlefield kitchens, providing 12,000 meals per day to people and forces on duty in severely affected areas. In addition, 211 tons of essential goods and necessities were donated and 10,000 bags of household medicine were provided to meet the initial health care needs in difficult conditions.

With the motto of the fastest and most effective support, in the highest conditions and with focus and key points, in line with the needs of overcoming damage and soon stabilizing the lives and recovering the socio-economy of the locality, the working groups directly visited, encouraged and presented gifts to people in the provinces affected by storms and floods.

As reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, from the evening of November 21 until now, a large number of people have brought relief goods to reception points in Ho Chi Minh City, joining hands to support people in flood-affected areas. The receiving force classified, recorded and brought the goods to the packaging area for timely transportation.

Previously, promoting the tradition of "City of gratitude - for the whole country, with the whole country", the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City launched an emergency reception of clothes and necessities to support people in flood-affected areas, focusing on people in Khanh Hoa, Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Lam Dong provinces and some neighboring localities affected.

The second phase of the program will be accepted until the morning of November 24 to provide additional support for areas that are still isolated, deeply flooded, and have long-term difficulties. Currently, priority is given to receiving instant noodles, milk, cakes of all kinds, 10 kg bags of rice, blankets, sausages, fish in boxes, meat in boxes of all kinds, diapers (children/adult).

Regarding the situation of mobilizing, receiving and distributing support sources, as of November 20, 2025, the Ho Chi Minh City Relief Mobilization Committee has received 15,581 donations with the amount of VND 236,474,483,005.

By November 23, the unit received 29,000 bags of household medicine, 70 tons of rice, 2,100 life jackets; 350 round buoys; 2,100 boxes of stream water, 441 tons of necessities with a total value of more than 41 billion VND.

The unit has spent 190,600,000 VND and goods worth more than 41 billion VND. Of which, in Ho Chi Minh City, 430 million VND; supporting provinces as prescribed by the sponsor 3,170,000,000 VND; in provinces and cities, 187 billion VND and goods worth more than 41 billion VND.
