The Dong Dang - Tra Linh Expressway Project (Phase 1) passes through Cao Bang for 41.35 km with an area of 260.76 hectares of land and 1,131 affected households must be recovered.
Of which, Thach An district recovered an area of 135.12 hectares, 662 households were affected; Quang Hoa district recovered about 125.64 hectares of 469 households.
This is also the transportation project with the largest total number of households and land area to be recovered ever in Cao Bang province.
In Hanh Phuc commune (Quang Hoa district), there are 9 hamlets with a length of 12 km and 510 households with crops, land, assets, constructions on the land... affected and need to be relocated.
When hearing the news that the highway was under construction, the people in the commune were all happy and supportive. Mr. Ma Van Thu (residing in Lung Tao hamlet - Ban Tin) - shared: "I have rice fields that are subject to compensation. When the commune informed us about the land clearance, we all happily agreed. Up to now, my family has received full compensation."
Many people, when they heard that their families had to move to another place to hand over the land for the construction of the highway, were still very happy to cooperate.
On November 12, speaking with reporters, Ms. Dinh Thi Bien - Chairman of the People's Committee of Hanh Phuc Commune, Quang Hoa District - said: "The spirit of the people is to cooperate completely, the counting and site clearance is going smoothly."
According to the Chairman of the People's Committee of Hanh Phuc commune, the only thing people care about is that the units build the road quickly so that people who need to go to Hanoi will be closer.
"The route through the area has only one hamlet with less than 100 households that have not been counted because the route adjustment has not been completed. When the results of the route adjustment are available, the locality will count and compensate, and the people will immediately hand over the land to the project enterprise," Ms. Bien informed.
Recently, on November 6, Chairman of Cao Bang Provincial People's Committee Hoang Xuan Anh signed and issued Official Dispatch No. 09/CD-UBND on directing the completion of site clearance for the Dong Dang - Tra Linh Expressway Construction Investment Project in December 2024.
In the telegram, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Cao Bang province requested the Chairmen of the People's Committees of the two districts of Thach An and Quang Hoa, the Director of the Project Management Board for Investment and Construction of Traffic Works in Cao Bang province, and the General Director of Dong Dang - Tra Linh Expressway Joint Stock Company to identify this as a political task, a key task that needs to be prioritized for direction and operation.
Strive to hand over 100% of clean land to businesses by December 31, 2024 to organize project implementation on schedule.
Officially started on January 1, 2024, after nearly 11 months of implementation, to date over 90% of the project site has been cleared.
Currently, there are only about 4 km of open space left in the 41.35 km through Cao Bang waiting for clearance due to route adjustment.
The Dong Dang - Tra Linh expressway project has a total length of 121 km, and is divided into 2 investment phases.
Phase 1 (with a capital of 14,125.41 billion VND), invested with a length of more than 93 km. Starting point at Tan Thanh border gate intersection (Van Lang district, Lang Son province). End point at National Highway 3 intersection (Chi Thao commune, Quang Hoa district, Cao Bang province).
The completed project will enhance domestic and international trade connections, contribute to improving local and regional competitiveness, and create momentum for socio-economic development and national defense and security.
