Deploying land acquisition and site clearance to expand roads to 90m in Hanoi

Hanoi - Dai Xuyen commune has organized a people's meeting to inform about land acquisition and site clearance for the National Highway 1A expansion project.

On June 24, at Ung Hoa Village Cultural House, Dai Xuyen Commune People's Committee (Hanoi) organized a conference to deploy the land clearance plan to implement the National Highway 1A spatial axis project associated with urban reconstruction and embellishment according to the public-private partnership (PPP) method, build-transfer (BT) type contract, section from Ring Road 1 to Cau Gie intersection passing through Dai Xuyen commune.

At the conference, representatives of the Project Management Board informed the People about the investment policy, objectives, scale, scope and roadmap for project implementation; and at the same time disseminated regulations related to land acquisition, compensation, support and resettlement according to the provisions of law.

According to the plan, the National Highway 1A spatial axis project has a total length of about 36.3km, 90m wide, passing through 18 communes and wards in Hanoi.

This is a key project of the city, of particular importance in building a synchronous and modern transport infrastructure system; strengthening the connection between the Capital's center and satellite cities and southern provinces; creating new development space, promoting socio-economic growth, embellishing and rebuilding urban space along National Highway 1A.

In which, the section passing through Dai Xuyen commune is about 3.8km long.

To ensure the project implementation progress, Dai Xuyen commune has established a Site Clearance Steering Committee, a Compensation, Support and Resettlement Council, and working groups to serve site clearance work; and at the same time promote propaganda and mobilization to create consensus and unity among the people.

At the conference, people proposed that all levels and sectors pay attention to carrying out the work of inventorying and statistically analyzing the current status of land and assets on land fully and accurately; developing compensation, support and resettlement plans to ensure fairness, compliance with regulations, and protect the legitimate rights and interests of the people.

People also proposed that the resettlement area be synchronously invested in technical infrastructure and social infrastructure; pay attention to the relocation of cultural and religious works and have appropriate policies for policy families and people with meritorious services.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Du Anh Hao, Vice Chairman of Dai Xuyen Commune People's Committee, acknowledged and fully received the opinions and recommendations of the people; and at the same time explained and clarified the guidelines and policies of the Party and State and legal regulations related to land acquisition, compensation, support and resettlement.

Mr. Hao affirmed that site clearance work will be implemented in accordance with the law, ensuring the principles of publicity, transparency, democracy, and objectivity; taking the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of the people as the center in the process of organization and implementation.

After the conference, the Commune People's Committee will continue to implement the steps according to regulations, and at the same time summarize recommendations beyond its authority to report to competent authorities for consideration and resolution.
