According to records, by June 30, all preparations for the new Binh Duong ward under Ho Chi Minh City had been completed, this is one of the key wards.
Binh Duong ward was officially established on the basis of merging the entire natural area and population of Hoa Phu, Phu My, Phu Tan wards of Thu Dau Mot city and Phu Chanh ward of Tan Uyen city of the old Binh Duong province.
Binh Duong ward has a natural area of 58.157 km2, population of 107,576 people.

Currently, Binh Duong ward has 182 cadres, of which the Party bloc has 33 cadres, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations have 39 cadres, the State bloc has 110 cadres.
The headquarters of Hoa Phu ward (at 357 Vo Nguyen Giap street, Hoa Phu ward, Thu Dau Mot city, old Binh Duong) was rearranged to be the headquarters of the People's Council and People's Committee of the new Binh Duong ward. The ward's public administrative service center is also located here.

Mr. Vo Chi Thanh - Chairman of Binh Duong Ward People's Committee said that the Public Administration Service Center has 23 staff. All administrative procedures are publicly listed. Preparations for the Public Administration Service Center to operate are very convenient, meeting the needs of people and businesses.

According to the decision on personnel work published, Mr. Nguyen Van Dong - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Thu Dau Mot City Party Committee, the old Binh Duong province was appointed to hold the position of Party Committee Secretary, Chairman of the People's Council of the new Binh Duong Ward; Mr. Nguyen Van Sum - Vice Chairman of the People's Council of Thu Dau Mot City, the old Binh Duong province was appointed to hold the position of Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the new Binh Duong Ward; Mr. Vo Chi Thanh - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Thu Dau Mot City, the old Binh Duong province, to hold the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of the new Binh Duong Ward.
