District 5 People's Committee headquarters in Ho Chi Minh City becomes the workplace of the new An Dong ward

HCMC - The headquarters of District 5 People's Committee at 203 An Duong Vuong Street will become the working place of the Party Committee - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the new An Dong Ward.

The People's Committee of District 5 has just announced the working headquarters of the 3 newly established wards in the area, along with the address of the Public Administration Center serving the people, officially starting to operate from July 1.

An Dong Ward was established on the basis of merging Wards 5, 7 and 9. The new ward has an area of 1.32 km2, with a population of 81,229 people.

The headquarters of the Party Committee - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of An Dong Ward is located at 203 An Duong Vuong Street (old District 5 People's Committee headquarters).

The An Dong Ward Public Administration Center (the department that receives and returns administrative procedure results) is located at 45 Phuoc Hung Street, which used to be a one-stop department of District 5.

Cho Quan Ward was established from the merger of Ward 1, Ward 2 and Ward 4. The new ward is 1.28 km2 wide, with a population of 63,545 people.

The headquarters of the Party Committee - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Cho Quan ward is located at 211 An Duong Vuong street.

Cho Quan Ward Public Administration Center is located at 53A Tran Phu Street (old Ward 4 People's Committee headquarters).

Cho Lon Ward was established on the basis of merging Wards 11, 12, 13 and 14. The area of the new ward is 1.67 km2 with 85,066 people.

The headquarters of the Party Committee - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Cho Lon ward is located at 209 An Duong Vuong street.

Cho Lon Ward Public Administration Center is located at 527 Hong Bang Street (old Ward 14 People's Committee headquarters).

According to Chairman of District 5 People's Committee Truong Minh Kieu, the district has a total of 514 cadres and civil servants who were rearranged after the establishment of 3 new wards.

Of which, 110 people hold leadership and management positions; 317 people who do not hold positions are also allocated to wards. The remaining number is expected to be transferred to public service units, retired early or terminated according to regulations.

For 151 non-professional workers and 60 urban order collaborators, the People's Committee of District 5 introduced them to work in the neighborhood, participate in security and order protection or take on other jobs. Cases that do not have an arrangement plan will be resolved with severance pay with appropriate regimes and policies.

Ms. Truong Minh Kieu also added that the Public Administration Centers in the 3 wards have been fully equipped with machinery and software; personnel have also been thoroughly trained. Since June 12, the centers have been put into trial operation, ready to officially serve the people from July 1.
