On December 1, Lao Dong Newspaper reporters recorded that in some areas where wild bird trapping was once common such as Co Dam, Loc Ha, Thach Khe communes... now it has decreased significantly, with few signs of fake storks and bird trapping nets.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Tham (45 years old, residing in Thach Khe commune) - said that in recent years, especially in 2025, functional forces, including the commune police, have increased inspection and dismantling of bird trapping tools, so the landscape of bird trapping has completely disappeared.
"I strongly support the authorities' strict handling to prevent wild bird trapping. On the field, seeing the herd of birds in the sky makes me feel much more peaceful and joyful," Ms. Tham shared.

In recent days, the police of some coastal communes, plains, and midlands in Ha Tinh have maintained forces to inspect, seize, and destroy wild bird trapping tools.
The authorities are determined to do a good job of protecting wildlife in general and migratory birds in particular.

On December 1, the Ha Tinh Forest Protection Department informed that in the work of protecting wild birds and migratory birds, from the second half of 2025 to now, the Forest Protection Department has coordinated with the Police, Border Guard, functional agencies and local authorities at the commune level to conduct 223 inspections of hunting, trapping wild birds and migratory birds; working at 32 markets and trading points in the area.

Through inspection, the interdisciplinary team and functional forces discovered, confiscated, and destroyed 56,869 tools, tools, and equipment used to catch, trap wild birds, and migratory birds.
Including: 9,952 fake birds; 8,620 m2 fishing nets; 38,031 plastic and recorded clubs; dismantling 255 hidden hutts; 11 signal transmitters; releasing 331 live Predators and trapped birds into the natural environment.

Along with inspecting and destroying bird trapping tools, Ha Tinh authorities have carried out propaganda and signed a commitment to comply with legal regulations on management and protection of wildlife in general, and protection of migratory birds in particular.
According to the Ha Tinh Forest Protection Department, thanks to stepping up propaganda and strengthening inspection, detection and handling, the situation of wild bird trapping in the area has significantly decreased.

In the coming time, the authorities will continue to maintain forces to inspect, prevent, and strictly handle traps to catch wild birds and migratory birds in the area.
