On the afternoon of May 29, the Ha Long Bay - Yen Tu World Heritage Management Board held a meeting with relevant departments and units to agree on a plan to implement the plan to inspect and handle fishing vessels and boats anchored in the wrong positions in the Ha Long Bay area.
According to the plan, the inspection will take place from June 1 to 5 in the coastal area of Ha Long Bay, belonging to Hong Gai and Ha Long wards.
Functional forces will focus on inspecting and handling according to regulations for cases of fishing vessels and boats anchored in the wrong positions, causing insecurity and disorder, insecurity of inland waterway traffic, causing environmental pollution, affecting the landscape and ecological environment of the coastal area of Ha Long Bay World Natural Heritage.
Along with inspection and handling, units will propagate, mobilize, and guide organizations and individuals to use fishing vessels and boats to anchor in the right places, ensuring traffic safety, landscape and environment.
Functional units also surveyed and reviewed the reality to propose that the People's Committees of Hong Gai and Ha Long wards strengthen state management of fishing vessel and boat anchoring activities in the area.
After the inspection, the Ha Long Bay - Yen Tu World Heritage Management Board will summarize the results and report to the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province.
