Impressive poverty reduction results
Ea Ho commune is one of the most disadvantaged localities in Krong Krong Nang district (Dak Lak province). The whole commune has 14 villages and hamlets, but there are 9 ethnic minority hamlets in a particularly difficult situation. In early 2024, the commune had a total of 1,055 poor households and 345 near-poor households.

Ms. H' Phi La Nie - Vice Chairman of Ea Ho Commune People's Committee shared: "In early 2024 to mid-April 2025, the People's Committees of districts and communes have focused on effectively implementing the national target program for socio-economic development of ethnic minority and mountainous areas".
According to Ms. H' Phi La, people in particularly disadvantaged villages have been supported with domestic water, breeding cows and especially vocational training to be able to apply for jobs or create jobs for themselves. Thereby, gradually escaping poverty sustainably.

Up to now, thanks to the tireless efforts of local authorities, the number of poor and near-poor households has decreased sharply.
As of April 2025, the whole Ea Ho commune has decreased to 798 poor households and 331 near-poor households. Compared to 2024, the number of poor households decreased by 257 households, near-poor households decreased by 14.

"Not only giving fishing rods, we also hand-hold the instructions, share livestock farming experiences, and develop production for the people. For cases that have learned a trade but do not have a job, the commune will advise and introduce them to businesses to submit job applications. In particular, using different capital sources, the People's Committees of the commune have integrated and upgraded infrastructure and roads in disadvantaged areas," added the Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ea Ho commune.

Caring for the spiritual life of the people
Not only caring about material life, the Ea Ho commune government also attaches great importance to the spiritual life of local people.
Every year, the commune organizes healthy cultural and sports activities so that people in the area have the opportunity to exchange and exercise. This is also an opportunity for people to preserve and promote traditional cultural values.

Mr. Y That Mlo, a resident of Ea Ho commune, said: "Every year, the commune organizes a new rice festival and a culinary, cultural, artistic and sports competition. Thereby, promoting the spirit of solidarity and cohesion among ethnic groups in the area. We ethnic minorities really value these activities".
According to Mr. Y That, people consider this an opportunity to sit down and tell each other sad and happy stories in life. In particular, households that have escaped poverty also share ways to develop the economy with those who are still in difficulty.
