The embankment wall on National Highway 24 through Mang Den Pass has slipped off the general flat surface, at risk of collapsing, endangering people and vehicles participating in traffic.
On September 22, Mr. Huynh Ngoc Phong - Chairman of the People's Committee of Dak Rve commune, Quang Ngai province said that the locality had sent forces to Mang Den pass to check the location of the positive slope with signs of rising out and at risk of landslides.
Thereby, it was confirmed that the concrete block was about 5m long, about 10cm high and slid off the slope as before.

It is noted that at the top of the embankment on Mang Den Pass through Km125+045, a large cement concrete block was unusually lifted with a slide about 5m long, about 10cm away from the flat surface connecting the remaining concrete blocks. Meanwhile, other concrete blocks on the same route are still stable, seamless from the foot of the embankment to the top.
The location of the concrete block that was blown out was right at a steep turn, with high traffic density, posing a potential risk to road users.
Mr. Huynh Ngoc Phong - Chairman of Dak Rve Commune People's Committee said that the locality will report to the Department of Construction and relevant agencies to take timely measures to ensure traffic safety on National Highway 24. Avoid the situation where concrete sliding onto the road endangers traffic participants as well as traffic jams on the route.
According to the leader of the Quang Ngai Department of Construction, the unit will send people to inspect, assess the specific current situation and find solutions to ensure safety on the route.
For nearly 2 months, it has been continuously raining in the communes in the West of Quang Ngai. In particular, the Mang Den Pass section has been continuously flooded in previous years, causing traffic congestion.
