On the morning of June 27, traffic on Vo Nguyen Giap Street, Thu Duc City, was seriously congested when a series of container trucks and cars were "stuck", moving slowly from Thu Duc intersection to Hanoi Highway toll station.
Notably, most of these vehicles are concentrated in the Truong Tho port area waiting for procedures. However, the slow process caused prolonged congestion.
Traffic congestion not only occurred on Vo Nguyen Giap route but also spread to parallel routes, Road No. 2 of Truong Tho Ward.
Although the Traffic Police have deployed forces to direct traffic, due to the high density of vehicles and the slow port exploitation process, congestion continues.
The Traffic Police Department, Ho Chi Minh City Police said that currently, vehicles entering the port in Truong Tho area are facing problems with electronic procedures and invoices, so it takes a lot of time.
This leads to congestion on the Vo Nguyen Giap axis. Hopefully, from now until July 1, businesses will overcome this to make traffic more stable.
By noon of the same day, the traffic situation on Vo Nguyen Giap Avenue had not improved, and vehicles continued to move very slowly.
