According to Lao Dong on the morning of November 23, the contractor has basically completed the asphalt paving of the road surface in the area at the beginning of the Ring Road 2.5 project, Dam Hong - National Highway 1A section.
Speaking to reporters, Mr. Tran Dinh Hoc - Director of the contractor for package No. 1 (Ring Road 2.5 Project, Dam Hong - National Highway 1A section) said that from the night and early morning of November 23, nearly 40 officers, engineers, and workers along with many equipment and machines were mobilized to asphalt the road surface in this area, in which the left section of the route is 240m long, the right section is 80m long.

According to Mr. Hoc, construction work at night causes many obstacles for contractors, however, due to the nature of the work, the construction unit will gradually overcome the difficulties, ensure safe and quality construction and ensure the set progress.
In parallel with the asphalt paving item, the contractor also implemented the construction of sidewalk floors as well as trees in the median strip.
The contractor also committed to implementing all measures during the construction process to minimize dust and dirt that pollutes the environment and affects people's lives.
"A section of the route after being paved with asphalt will help reduce the dust and pollution in the area, while making people's travel more convenient" - Mr. Hoc said.

In addition to package 1, the L3 bridge construction package across the Lu River (package No. 2) is also being urgently implemented by the construction unit. The overall progress of the entire Ring Road 2.5 project, Dam Hong - National Highway 1A section, has reached more than 70%.
The project to build the Ring Road 2.5, Dam Hong - National Highway 1A section, is invested in the form of a BT (build - transfer) contract with a length of 1.3km, with a total investment of more than 1,300 billion VND.
The project started in 2014 and was expected to be completed in 2017 but was behind schedule.
In 2020, the project was temporarily suspended when it had only reached about 40% of the workload. The reason is that the contract implementation period has not been extended, and the adjusted feasibility study report has not been approved.
By May 2025, the project was restarted, planned to be completed in the first quarter of 2026. When put into use, the project will contribute to promoting socio-economic development, helping to reduce traffic congestion, and change the appearance of traffic in the southern area of the capital.
