In the first round of awards for flood prevention, control and overcoming, 12 outstanding collectives received certificates of merit from the Chairman of the People's Committee of Hue City, including: Hue City Police; Hue City Military Command; Viettel Hue; Hue Urban Environment and Construction Joint Stock Company; Hue City Green Park Center; Hue Water Supply Joint Stock Company; Hue Power Company; Hue Central Hospital; Hue Monuments Conservation Center; Quang Tri Provincial Police; Mobile Police Battalion - E28, Ministry of Public Security and Division 968-Military Region 4.

"These are typical collectives, in recent days demonstrating a high sense of responsibility, proactively implementing response measures, mobilizing people and vehicles to promptly provide relief, evacuate people from deeply flooded and landslide areas; contributing to minimizing damage, ensuring the safety of people's lives and property", the leader of Hue City noted.

Viettel waves in Hue remain stable in severe floods

During the flood period from October 25 to November 3, Hue city suffered a record amount of heavy rain, causing widespread flooding. However, thanks to the strong direction of the government and the cooperation of forces and people, the damage has been limited, the recovery work has taken place quickly, helping life to stabilize soon.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Huy Quang, Director of Viettel Hue, shared that receiving a certificate of merit from the Hue People's Committee is a great honor and worthy recognition for the Viettel Hue staff. "During the recent historic flood, many Viettel Hue officers suffered heavy property damage, but the brothers still stayed at the scene and provided information all day and night. With the efforts and persistent military spirit, Viettel Hue has been recognized as the network operator with the best network infrastructure in the recent flood, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Huy Quang emphasized.

Due to the impact of prolonged heavy rain, many areas in Hue city have been deeply flooded in recent times. Traffic cut off and widespread power outages make it extremely difficult to maintain smooth communication in information rescue. Thanks to the drastic implementation of response measures, Viettel waves are still maintained stable throughout the flood period to serve the direction and operation of flood prevention by the government and the communication needs of people in Hue.

Even during the days of severe floods, Viettel units in Hue city proactively deployed rescue, ensuring a smooth telecommunications network. In addition to the on-site technical force on duty 24/24 hours, personnel from neighboring provinces were also mobilized by the Group and member units to support Viettel Hue to " save the waves".

Thanks to that, Viettel waves are still stable in 40 communes and wards across Hue city. Viettel's BTS stations operate stably, with technical forces on duty 24/7, and fuel reserves to ensure infrastructure operations during the flood.

During the recent flood, all of Viettel's transaction stores, post offices and supermarkets in Hue City have opened to provide free battery/phone charging points to people. Viettel Waves here also open roamming so that customers of other networks can use the communication when necessary./.
