Speaking at the 4th Congress of the Party Committee of Vietnam Tobacco Corporation, term 2025-2030, held on July 23, Mr. Ho Le Nghia - Party Committee Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Members of Vinataba - said: In the context of many fluctuations and fierce competition from smuggled cigarettes, Vinataba still maintains impressive growth momentum. Revenue in 2024 will reach VND 36,216 billion, an increase of more than VND 12,000 billion compared to 2020; pre-tax profit will reach nearly VND 1,800 billion; employee income will increase sharply, ensuring the lives of thousands of employees in the entire system.
The budget contribution of nearly VND16,000 billion has put Vinataba in the leading group of state-owned enterprises with large contributions to the national budget, affirming its responsibility to the community and the economy.
Not only focusing on domestic growth, Vinataba also maintains stable export activities, with an average growth turnover of nearly 12% per year. The enterprise contributes to enhancing the value of the national brand and promoting domestic agricultural product consumption through purchasing stable raw materials from growing areas.
Currently, Vinataba is in the group of 6 leading state-owned enterprises and ranked 11th nationwide in terms of budget contributions, a clear demonstration of production and business efficiency associated with political tasks under the leadership of the Corporation's Party Committee.
In parallel with production and business activities, Vinataba has spent more than 183 billion VND on social security programs, actively participated in community activities, and demonstrated the social responsibility of the enterprise. The Corporation also focuses on developing the tobacco industry production ecosystem according to a closed value chain, from planting, processing raw materials, producing accessories to distributing products. Enterprises promote the application of new technology, innovation of equipment lines, research and development of green, environmentally friendly products.
With the viewpoint of "S manh me party, sustainable development of enterprises", Vinataba Party Committee always puts Party building work in parallel with the task of production and business. The Party Committee has seriously implemented the Resolutions and Directives of the Central Committee, focusing on innovating leadership methods, promoting democracy, and arousing the spirit of daring to think and daring to do among cadres and Party members.
The work of planning, training and fostering cadres has been implemented methodically and transparently, focusing on selecting cadres who are both capable of governance and have moral qualities and political courage, meeting the requirements in the period of innovation and deep integration.
