On June 5, Ben Tre Solid Waste Treatment Joint Stock Company under AMACCAO Group solemnly held the groundbreaking ceremony of the Solid Waste Incineration Plant Project in Phu Tan ward.
Attending the ceremony were Mr. Tran Van Lau - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Vinh Long province and many key local leaders.
Mr. Nguyen Ha - Deputy General Director of AMACCAO Group emphasized that the groundbreaking ceremony on World Environment Day is to show the determination to build a green, clean and beautiful locality.
Mr. Nguyen Ha made three major commitments on the application of advanced digital technology, international landscape architecture and safe construction progress. Project leaders affirmed that the enterprise always maintains the principle of seriousness, drastic action, focusing on finding solutions to complete all set commitments.

The plant has a treatment scale of 650 tons of domestic waste per day, with a power generation capacity of 13 MW using Martin waste burning technology from the Federal Republic of Germany. The system ensures that all emission targets meet European standards, and treated wastewater meets Column A according to strict Vietnamese standards.
Speaking to direct at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Quynh Thien - Vice Chairman of Vinh Long Provincial People's Committee emphasized that this is a particularly meaningful project, marking a new step in the strategy of transforming the modern waste treatment model.
In fact, the total amount of waste received daily by the province is up to 1,310 tons, of which treatment by traditional landfilling measures accounts for an excessively high rate of 95.3%.

The old landfill method has clearly revealed a series of limitations such as causing water pollution, toxic gas generation and consuming a large area of land, posing an urgent requirement for innovation.
This new waste-to-energy project has a total investment of 1,919 billion VND, applying advanced Martin technology from Germany to handle it in a closed manner and not generate odors into the environment.
The plant achieves a designed capacity of 650 tons/day, and is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2027 and officially operate and receive waste from the first quarter of 2028.
Requesting investors to closely coordinate with sectors to complete procedures, strictly control waste sources, and ensure stable lives for people," Mr. Thien emphasized this content.
