On June 3, Khanh Hoa Provincial Police announced the decision to recruit citizens into the People's Police for the relatives of Major Nguyen Xuan Hai - Dien Lam Commune Police officer who sacrificed himself while on duty.
According to the decision of the Director of Khanh Hoa Provincial Police, Ms. Le Thi Thuy Han (29 years old), wife of Major Nguyen Xuan Hai, was selected and assigned to work at Dien Khanh Commune Police, Khanh Hoa province.
The selection is carried out according to the regulations of the Minister of Public Security on selecting citizens into the People's Police in the form of temporary recruitment for a period of 6 months, from June 1, 2026.
After the above time, if she completes her assigned tasks well, Ms. Le Thi Thuy Han will be considered for official recruitment into the People's Police force according to regulations.
Previously, the Women's Union of Khanh Hoa Provincial Police had sponsored baby N.L. H. Y (1 year old), the daughter of Major Nguyen Xuan Hai.
As Lao Dong newspaper reported, in the early morning of March 21, Major Nguyen Xuan Hai sacrificed himself in the process of pursuing a group of subjects illegally mining sand on the Cai River, passing through Dien Lam commune.
Recognizing his contributions and sacrifices, on March 23, the President signed a decision to posthumously award the Third-class Fatherland Protection Order to Major Nguyen Xuan Hai.
Minister of Public Security Luong Tam Quang also signed a decision to posthumously promote Mr. Hai's rank from captain to major.
