On the morning of March 31, Ea H'leo Medical Center (Dak Lak province) said that the unit had sent a quick report to the Department of Health about suspected food poisoning cases. The bread business has been temporarily suspended.
The hospitalized patients all said they had symptoms of abdominal pain and diarrhea after eating bread at Q.H store (Ea Drang commune, Dak Lak). As of 6 am on the same day, there were a total of 77 hospitalizations. Among them, 60 are being treated, 10 have requested discharge and 7 have requested transfer to the Western Highlands Regional General Hospital.
Currently, the Center is actively caring for and treating patients. The health status of most patients has stabilized.
Ea Drang Commune People's Committee has established an inspection team, and at the same time temporarily suspended the operation of Q.H bread establishment and is waiting for the test results to serve as a basis for handling.
Previously, at about 4 pm on March 28, Ea H'leo Medical Center received the first suspected poisoning case with symptoms of abdominal pain, diarrhea, vomiting.
After that, dozens of other cases continued to be hospitalized with similar symptoms. Initially, the patients all said they had eaten bread at Q.H store before symptoms appeared.
