On the morning of February 26, the Command of Naval Region 2 coordinated with the Election Committee of Long Son commune (Ho Chi Minh City) to organize early elections at the wharf for forces preparing to set off to perform tasks at sea, and at the same time saw off 2 delegations to board Truong Sa 04 and Truong Sa 21 ships to perform early election tasks for DK1 platforms, on-duty ships and our fishermen who are exploiting seafood at sea.
Participating in the early election at the station are voters of the Election Team and officers and soldiers of ships of Naval Region 2 who will depart to perform their duties before the election day March 15, 2026.
According to the plan, more than 400 voters are working on DK1 platforms, ships on duty at sea of Naval Region 2, along with forces of Naval Flotilla 128, Naval Flotilla 129 and fishermen of fishing boats exploiting seafood in the sea area.
In the context of dispersed forces, long-term operations at sea, the organization of ships, forces and vehicles to bring ballot boxes to each Oil Rig, each ship on duty shows high political determination, close coordination between agencies and units. Thereby contributing to raising awareness and responsibility of officers and soldiers towards the task of building and protecting the Fatherland; consolidating trust, strengthening solidarity and unity, and successfully completing the task of protecting sea and island sovereignty in the new situation.
The Command of Naval Region 2 has proactively coordinated closely with localities, fully prepared human and material resources, and ensured early elections at wharves and at sea to take place in accordance with legal regulations and with absolute safety.
Officers and soldiers of Naval Region 2 promote the spirit of democracy, uphold responsibility, and wisely select delegates who are virtuous and talented enough to represent the will and aspirations of the people, contributing to the overall success of the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and People's Council deputies at all levels, term 2026-2031.
