On June 25, the Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Department of Da Nang City Police said that it had just supported the transportation of a drowning victim's body in Khe Rem area, Hoa Bac commune, Hoa Vang district, to shore and handed it over to the authorities.
The authorities received the report at 6:45 p.m. on June 24. Immediately afterwards, the Fire Fighting and Rescue Team (Team 3) dispatched a rescue vehicle and 7 officers and soldiers to quickly approach the scene.
The process of moving to the incident site encountered many difficulties due to the rugged terrain, having to walk nearly 2km of steep road. After many hours, the rescue and relief forces coordinated with local police to search and bring the victim's body to shore and hand it over to the authorities for handling according to regulations.
The victim was identified as a young man, 20 years old, from Quang Tri.
