On the afternoon of August 27, Ms. Bui Thi Binh - Secretary of the Party Committee of Lac Luong commune, confirmed that a local resident had just gone missing, suspected of drowning while fishing.
According to initial information, the victim was Mr. Q.T.H, born in 1963, (residing in Yen Tan hamlet, Lac Luong commune, Phu Tho province).
Previously, at around 7:00 a.m. on August 26, Mr. H went fishing at Dam 6 in Yen Tan hamlet. When he did not return in the afternoon, his family went to look for him but only found clothes, hats on the shore and a bamboo raft floating in the middle of the dam, with no one.
After receiving the news, local authorities and authorities organized a search.
"Since the morning of August 27, the rescue force of Phu Tho Provincial Police coordinated with the forces at the facility to continue to carry out rescue work but have not yet found Mr. H. The search has encountered many difficulties due to the large dam area and prolonged heavy rain" - Ms. Binh informed.
Previously, on August 26, in Muong Vang commune, an incident occurred where Mr. B.V.M, born in 1959, (residing in Moi 2 hamlet) was swept away by floodwaters while fishing in the stream.
Phu Tho Provincial Police recommend that people during times of complicated storms and floods, absolutely do not fish or fish in deep water areas, fast-flowing water or places with warning signs of danger, to ensure safety of life and property.
