On July 6, a working delegation of the Military Command (CHQS) of Quang Tri province led by Colonel Truong Nhu Y - Deputy Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command, member of the Steering Committee for searching, repatriating and identifying martyrs' remains of the province, conducted inspection and survey of martyr grave information in the Cau Nhi area (Nam Chanh village, Nam Hai Lang commune, Quang Tri province).
The survey aims to verify and carefully verify information provided by witnesses. This is an important database serving the workshop work, thereby deploying the search and repatriation of martyrs' remains in the Cau Nhi area to ensure strictness, accuracy and proper procedures.

During the field survey, the working group conducted in-depth research on the terrain of the area with information about martyrs' sacrifices. Functional forces have specifically zoned the searched and unsearched areas and located new locations suspected of having martyrs' graves.
Notably, to prepare the best conditions for the digging and searching work, the delegation surveyed the current status of assets, crops, and crops of organizations and individuals that may be affected when deploying. At the same time, the working delegation worked directly with relevant organizations and individuals to agree on a plan to compensate for assets, crops, and crops when machinery and forces enter to serve the gathering.
Colonel Truong Nhu Y requested departments and agencies of the Provincial Military Command and related forces to closely coordinate with local Party committees and authorities and witnesses to continue reviewing and verifying information sources, and preparing dossiers and documents in accordance with regulations.
The specialized unit needs to urgently organize searches in areas where there are still suspicious bases; and at the same time coordinate to organize seminars with witnesses, veterans and researchers to supplement information and improve the effectiveness of searching for and repatriating martyrs' remains.

On this occasion, the delegation of the Provincial Military Command came to offer incense and flowers to commemorate the heroic martyrs at the Temple of Martyrs of Regiment 88, Division 308 in the Cau Nhi area (Nam Chanh village, Nam Hai Lang commune).
It is known that the Cau Nhi area was the place where the fierce battle of Battalion 6, Regiment 88, Division 308 took place in May 1972, killing 93 soldiers. Many sources from witnesses, people and historical researchers coincide with the results of field surveys, identifying many locations with suspicious bases containing martyrs' remains.
From 1992 to now, functional forces and people have collected 19 sets of remains of martyrs here, in which the identity of a martyr belonging to Battalion 6, Regiment 88, Division 308 has been identified.
