In May 2025, the Government Office has just issued a document conveying the direction of Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha on investing in the project to build the Nha Trang (Khanh Hoa) - Da Lat (Lam Dong) expressway under the PPP form.
The Deputy Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Finance to preside over and coordinate with the Ministry of Construction, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee and Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee to study and propose central budget capital in the medium-term public investment plan for the period 2026 - 2030 to implement the Project, and report to competent authorities according to regulations.
On that basis, the Ministry of Construction will coordinate with the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province to implement the project in accordance with the direction of the Government leaders.
Earlier in 2024, People's Committees of Khanh Hoa and Lam Dong provinces proposed in the immediate future to invest in the Nha Trang-Da Lat route 80.8km long (the beginning of the North-South highway in the east in Dien Khanh district, Khanh Hoa province; the end of the intersection with National Highway 27C at Darahoahohoa junction, Da Lat city, Lam Dong province). The scale of 4 complete lanes (width of the road floor 22-24.75m), design speed of 80-100km/h.
The Nha Trang - Da Lat Expressway project, after investment and construction, will shorten travel time between Nha Trang and Da Lat to about 1:30-2:00 (compared to the current time of about 3:30-4:00).
This is a great motivation to attract tourists to participate in tours connecting seas and flowers, promoting tourism development in the whole region. At the same time, the Nha Trang - Da Lat Expressway will form a vertical axis connecting the Central Highlands with the South Central Coast, connecting with vertical axes, promoting the effectiveness of projects that have been and are being invested in, connecting economic centers, seaports, meeting transportation and logistics needs...
