On June 19, the Department of Home Affairs of Quang Tri province said that the unit had submitted a document on the development of a Resolution of the Provincial People's Council regulating support policies for cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers (NLD) of Quang Tri province who are currently transferred to work at the new administrative - political center headquarters of Quang Tri province after the merger.
Accordingly, the Department of Home Affairs proposes to have policies to promptly support initial funding to help cadres and workers soon stabilize their lives, work with peace of mind at the new workplace, and contribute to ensuring the effective operation of the state apparatus after the merger.
Subjects subject to mobilization will be supported simultaneously for two costs: travel support of 9.6 million VND/person and accommodation support of 12 million VND/person (applicable to cases where public housing is not arranged or wish to rent outside). The support level is calculated based on actual needs in the first 6 months (1.731.12.2025), with a total maximum support of 21.6 million VND/person.
The payment will be completed before the merger of Quang Tri province. In case the employee has received support but resigns or returns to the old headquarters before December 31, 2025, the received support must be refunded.
According to statistics up to June 13, 2025, the total number of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers expected to move to the new administrative - political center is 1,562 people (of which the State sector: 1,165 people, the Party sector: 397 people). However, according to the report of the Department of Construction, only about 100125 people can be immediately arranged for official accommodation. Thus, more than 1,460 people will need to rent houses outside and are eligible for accommodation support.
The total estimated support cost is more than 32.5 billion VND. The development of this policy is one of the practical preparation steps of Quang Tri province, aiming to ensure legitimate rights and create the best conditions for the team of cadres and civil servants in the transition period after the merger.
