According to a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, this morning (August 26), many roads in Hanoi turned into rivers, making it difficult for people to go to agencies and schools. Many vehicles, both motorbikes and cars, were flooded and stalled in the middle of the road.
On many roads such as Nguyen Chanh, Tu Mo, Trung Kinh, Nguyen Thi Thap, Pham Hung, Tran Duy Hung... the number of vehicles was congested due to prolonged flooding. Many subjective vehicles entering the flooded area stalled.

Many people said that to get to work, they have to go around small routes, accepting double or triple the travel distance. Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Hang said that it took her more than 2 hours to travel from her house on Nguyen Van Huyen Street to her office in Nguyen Chanh. "This section of the road I travel on every day only takes about 25-30 minutes, this morning it was raining heavily, I took the initiative to go to work early but still had to go around many roads to get to the office," Ms. Hang shared.
At the same time, Mr. Nguyen Duc Hung (in Thanh Xuan ward) said that when he arrived at the Khuat Duy Tien - Nguyen Trai intersection, the flood was severe, the vehicle stalled. His clothes were all wet, his car was broken, and he had to walk, so he had to call the agency to ask for permission to work online because he could not come on time.
According to Mr. Do Manh Dung (director of a company in My Dinh), most of his company's employees did not go to work on time this morning. He himself saw the flood and took a taxi, the usual cost of this distance was only about 100,000 VND, but today he has to pay 250,000 VND because the driver reported the road being congested and flooded.

In addition to the traffic jam, many vehicles entering the flooded area stalled. This has caused many auto repair shops to work continuously. Mr. Le Van Huy - a car repairman in Nguyen Chanh - said that since 8am until now (10:20), he and 2 other workers have not rested, mostly cleaning, cleaning, cleaning the air... Some old cars have to check a few more parts. Most of them are to support people, if the license plate is 20,000-30,000 VND, the more complicated street car is 40,000-50,000 VND, depending on the customer, said Mr. Huy.
In the Pham Hung Street area, many vehicles were recorded to have stalled, some cars had to use rescue vehicles. Mr. Duc (residing in Hung Yen) said that his motorbike, when passing through the Pham Hung - Me Tri intersection, had water in the engine and could not explode. With everything in the trunk, he took off thewhitboard and did the cleaning. Seeing some women and the elderly also facing similar situations, he supported them.

Also in the Pham Hung Street area, after many vehicles stalled, mobile repair teams appeared to support at prices ranging from 40,000 - 70,000 VND/vehicle, depending on the scooter or manual transmission vehicle.
According to Mr. Huy, this explosive repair is only temporary. After the water recedes, vehicle owners should bring the vehicle to the repair shop to check everything, especially engine oil. If the engine oil is mixed with water, it must be replaced immediately to ensure safety.
